Laser Tag Near Sudbury
Sudbury doesn’t have a laser tag arena. The nearest is Planet Laser in Bury St Edmunds, about 16 miles up the A134. We’ll be straight with you: that’s around half an hour, so it’s a trip rather than a quick pop-in.
What you get at the other end is a 6,000-square-foot arena over four levels, played in Laserforce battlesuits, plus a retro arcade, mini bowling and Café Lunar in the same building.
MAKE THE DRIVE WORTH IT
One 15-minute game is a short visit after half an hour in the car. Most people coming from further out book the triple session (three games, £19) or come on a weekend morning for Weekend Wakeup: unlimited games from 9 to 11:30am on Saturdays and Sundays, £17 with a free drink.
Add a round of mini bowling and lunch at Café Lunar and you’ve filled the morning without moving the car.
GETTING HERE FROM SUDBURY
Head north on the A134 through Long Melford towards Bury St Edmunds. It’s about 16 miles and usually takes around 30 minutes. We’re on Western Way, IP33 3SP.
There’s no direct train: Sudbury’s line runs south to Marks Tey, not north to Bury. Parking catches a few people out on their first visit, so read the parking and directions guide before you set off.
We’ve written similar guides for visitors from Newmarket (A14, about 20 minutes), Thetford (A134, about 25 minutes) and Stowmarket (A14 or a direct train, about 20 minutes).
